| This team
is divided into three outreach programs that serve
the members of the congregation:
1) BBQ and dinners by Martin Stewart
2) Coffee ministry by Mark and Nancy Cross
3) Memorial Garden by Donald Richardson and Doug
Howze.
Donald Richardson
serves as the facilitator for all three of these
ministries.
the primary task of
the Fellowship Team as it relates to our church
vision is as follows:
- To stimulate the
social interaction aspects of our church family
by providing barbeques, dinners, educational
programs, and support for special events.
- We will continue
to participate in the long-term planning and
perpetual maintenance of the Memorial Garden,
which acts as the centerpiece for our campus.
Because of the
congregation's overwhelming approval and support, we
will continue to provide a regular schedule of
social events. Our Sunday morning coffee
ministry is better than ever and is now a regular
part of fellowship following Sunday worship service.
We have moved the coffee hour into Luther Hall and
now provide a casual seating area for members and
visitors. This area can now be utilized by
everyone as they wait for Sunday School or to
reflect on God's presence in their lives.
Our BBQ and social
dinners often vary by the season. Scheduled
events can be found in our
calendar and include:
- Easter breakfast
in April
- Anniversary
picnic in May
- Rally Day BBQ in
August
- Oktoberfest
feast in October
- Holiday
Christmas dinner in December
- Other special
events as needed (Strawberry shortcake day, fish
fry, ice cream socials, etc.)
We continually need
more volunteers to provide this valuable service
that often leads to great discussion between
visitors and members. For more information,
contact any of the leaders associated with this team
and mentioned in this page. You can also
email us for more information or fill out the
form in the Mission Teams
page.
